So now, ITs FUCK BILL DeWitt Jr.
I always knew that guy was a douchebag since he bought into
the Cardinals in the mid 90's.
Im not taking back what I said about Albert Pujols.
But I am adding that I think this whole debacle
is more the Cardinals front office's fault than Pujols.
Deidre Pujols was on a rdio station in the last couple days
and she gives an interesting story.
Notably
“The city of St. Louis has absolutely been deceived and I have never
seen hatred spread so fast, and I understand why," Deidre Pujols told
Joy 99.1-FM Radio in St. Louis in an interview aired Monday.
"Let me say that Albert and I never,
not one time, ever made plans to leave this city.”
"I was a witness standing next to him during a phone conversation
when we were trying to get these deals done and there were several
people on the phone, and I was standing right next to him when he
said on the phone, ‘Mr. Dewitt, can we do this for your family and my
family, for the franchise and for the people of St. Louis?’"
“The offer that people have seen on television I want to tell you what,
listeners especially,
had that offer been the one giving to us,
with guarantees, we would have the bird on our back,” Deidre Pujols said...
In 1981, a midseason strike
caused the the season to be split in 2 parts.
The Cardinals finished 2nd in each half, with the Montreal Expos
winning the first half and the Philadelphia Phillies
winning the 2nd half.
The Cardinals had the best over all record and lost the first half by
1.5 games and the 2nd half by half a game.
In between there was a month of no games and KMOX 1120 played great
word series radio games every night.
When play resumed, and MLB decided the first half and 2nd half
winners of each division would play for respective division titles,
it became apparent the Cards had to win the 2nd half.
There was a rainout from the first half, which was already rescheduled for September.
When they announced there would be a second half,
they cancelled the rescheduled game.
And the Cards lost by half a game.
I was like 14 and got a serious ulver over all this.
I was sick the whole time.
After that season, I decided I had to calm the hell down
on baseball.
Anyway, thats what kind of dedicated Cardinal fan I am.
I still have my Lou Brock designed spikes from wheb I was 9.
Anyway, now I dont give a shit.
FUCK BILL DEWITT.
My opinion is that his jew-acting bullshit trying to keep every tiny
penny possible from Albert Pujols allowed the Angels to steal him from us.
I wasnt gonna do it,
but I watched Albert's introductions to the Angels
and both Albert and Deidre looked like they didn't want to be there
and couldnt believe they were.
They of course had to act happy to be with a team
who's ownership wants them.
But it seems to me,
Last Wednesday they were still planning on being
in St Louis
forever,
then 2 days later they were somewhere else.
Bill DeWitt Jr didnt want Pujols to retire a Cardinal Hall Of Famer.
Fuck that Douchebag.
Bill DeWitt Jr bought the Cardinals strictly so one day
he
could fuck St Louis over.
For 11 years I stopped what I was doing
every time Albert came to the
plate to watch or listen.
Now I never want to watch him play again.
I feel like both sides, at least the Pujols'
wish they could go back a week and try it again.
Doesn't matter now.
Its over.
It seems very apparent that Bill DeWitt Jr
doesn't want a non white guy as the "face"
of the Franchise.
Right after DeWitt headed the buying of the Cardinals,
then future baseball Hall Of Famerand very black Ozzie Smith
got run out of town.
And now future Hall of Famer and very Latino Albert Pujols
has been run out of St Louis.
90 year old and very white Stan Musial remains the most
evident Cardinal Hall Of Famer.
Havent heard shit from really black Bob Gibson.
Notice the Pujols' have been vocal about how this
whole thing has transpired.
And DeWitt and Mozeliak have remained silent.
They hope it will all just go away.
Thats how white people work it.
As long as Bill DeWitt Jr has a hand
in owning the St Louis Cardinals,
I will not support this team.
I love the players of course.
And Ill bet every player who is on the Cardinals is like,
"fuck this Bullshit. Dewitt sucks DICK."
Of course they wont say that publicly.
